If you’re dealing with wide-area curing or PET preform heating, you know the struggle of getting heat exactly where it needs to be. That’s why we built these 1230mm lamps. They pack 1500W of punch across a long, linear footprint, so you can blast a huge surface area without having to mess around with a dozen smaller tubes. Let’s talk power. Because these are so long, you get a really steady stream of thermal energy from one end to the other. But here’s the thing: you’ve got to be strict about your power supply. If your voltage starts jumping around, your filament is going to give up the ghost way faster than it should. Keep it steady, and the lamps will keep humming. What’s going on inside the glass? We use a halogen cycle inside a quartz envelope. In plain English? It stops the tungsten filament from evaporating and gunking up the glass. It keeps the light output stable and helps the lamp last a lot longer than those basic clear-quartz versions. We use R7s or similar heavy-duty connectors, so they usually just slide right into most industrial oven racks. No drama. Real-world use (and a few warnings) You’ll mostly see these in automotive paint lines or PET blowing machines. The shortwave radiation hits the material fast, which means your cycle times drop. It’s a huge time-saver. But, you have to be careful. 1500W is a massive amount of energy in a very tight space. If your reflectors are dusty or slightly crooked, you’ll get “hot spots” that can actually warp your product. Also—and this is a big one—**do not touch the quartz tube with your bare hands.**A single fingerprint or a smudge of oil can cause the glass to crack the moment it hits full temperature. And please, use high-temperature leads for the wiring. You really don’t want to find out what happens when your insulation melts.
