Introduction
We built the Halogen Heating SK15 for those moments on the factory floor when you need serious heat, fast—right where you need it. It’s a shortwave infrared emitter, designed for industrial machines that can’t afford to wait. If you’ve got a small target area that has to hit temperature quickly, this lamp brings the power without forcing you to overhaul the whole heating setup. It’s focused. It’s fast. And it gets the job done.
Technical Deep-Dive
The SK15 is a quartz tube, built specifically for shortwave output. That means it fires up almost instantly and reacts on a dime to control signals. Typical ratings target 2500W at 400V, which packs a lot of heat into a small space. The tube is around 300mm long, so you’re not wasting energy or space. It concentrates the heat exactly where you need it, keeps wasted heat down, and leaves your machine footprint lean.
Material & Design
The halogen chemistry does a clever thing: it keeps the quartz tube clean by regenerating the filament. That helps stabilize the output over the life of the lamp, so performance stays consistent. The quartz body is tough—built to handle thermal shock and repeated on/off cycles without flinching. And the base? It’s a straightforward mechanical and electrical connection. No fuss. The lamp is designed to drop right into standard SK15 sockets, so installation feels like second nature.
Application & Benefits
Use the SK15 when you need spot heating, sealing, drying, or thermoforming—anywhere response time matters. The shortwave spectrum delivers heat that penetrates quickly, ramping up fast and helping you speed through cycles. Here’s the thing: that high power density is awesome, but it needs proper thermal management in the fixture. Match the reflector and airflow to the wattage density. If you don’t, the lamp can run hotter than it needs to, and that shortens its life. Do it right, and it just works.
