At 240V and 2000W, you’re getting a massive amount of power stretched across nearly a meter. The best part? It uses shortwave radiation. Instead of wasting energy heating up the air in your shop, the heat goes straight into your workpiece. It’s direct. It’s efficient. The nuts and bolts We balanced the 2000W rating with the 240V input specifically so you don’t fry the filament prematurely. We went with the 39.25-inch size so you can cover a huge surface area in one go, giving you a steady, even heat profile from end to end. One quick heads-up: keep your power stable. If your voltage is jumping all over the place, you’re going to kill the lamp’s lifespan. Stable power is non-negotiable here. What’s happening inside To keep things running longer, we use a halogen cycle. Basically, as the tungsten filament starts to evaporate, the halogen gas pushes that tungsten right back onto the wire. It’s a clever little loop that lets the lamp run hotter for longer. Then there’s the quartz envelope. It’s tough enough to handle the thermal shock and lets that shortwave IR pass through without soaking up the heat itself. Getting it into your line Most people use these as drop-in replacements for industrial curing lines or PET blowing. They hit full temperature almost instantly. But here’s the thing: 2000W puts out a lot of radiant heat. You can’t just slap it in and walk away. You’ll need to be smart about your reflectors and cooling fans.
