If you need heat—and you need it now—these lamps are your best bet. We built these 475mm halogen infrared lamps to punch way above their weight. At 1000W, they don’t just warm things up; they blast concentrated short-wave radiation exactly where you need it. Inside, there’s a tungsten filament wrapped in high-purity quartz and a specific halogen gas mix. That gas is the secret sauce—it keeps the filament from evaporating, so the lamp actually lasts.

Let’s talk power and size

The 475mm length gives you a very specific heating area. We stuck with 1000W because some materials just won’t budge unless you hit them with a massive amount of heat right away. It’s intense. But here is a pro tip:**Keep your reflectors spotless.**Seriously. If dust builds up on those mirrors, your heat output drops and you’re just throwing electricity away.

Why quartz and halogen?

The halogen cycle is what lets the filament run scorching hot without just giving up and burning out. This creates short-wave IR, which is a big deal because it sinks deeper into your materials and works much faster than the long-wave stuff.
